Choosing A Game That's Right For You

By Larry Moon

When the Xbox 360 came out, the console probably came with a couple of games for you to play. However, these games usually only last the average gamer about 2-3 weeks before going out and buying a game that they want. When you went to buy your console, it probably put a sizeable dent in your pocket book making it hard to immediately buy a new game.

Asking for more means that you are willing to pay for more games and since these games can reach prices of up to 70 dollars, it is important that your money goes on the best Xbox 360 games that will not disappoint you a single bit. Finding the best Xbox 360 games only requires a little bit of work both offline and online.

This research is going to be both offline and online. One of the first offline things you should do would be to check out the store at which you bought the console; sometimes those stores depending on store size will have a larger variety to choose from.

Some stores love to convince buyers by adding "Best seller" tags or something similar. Older games may still be found on the shelves having special labels like "Best Game of the Year" indicating that the game achieved awards in the past. As long as these labels are part of the box art, these claims are true and should be worth the purchase.

Doing online research is fun and can be done in the confines of your home. One of the best places for you to go online is www.xbox.com. On the Xbox website you will be able to see video's on most Microsoft games that are listed on the site, which will give you an idea about the actual game play. It's seems that searching online is a bit easier than the store, because most stores do not have a way to test the game out. If you want to copy xbox 360 games try it out here.

The Xbox website is also home to the Xbox Live website too so you can check out best selling and new Xbox Live games too. These games are much cheaper than the ones you find in stores and some of them can last you days and weeks. Plus, all you need to do is download them and usually the process is pretty quick.

Other places online to learn about Xbox games are review sites. The more credible review sites are Gamespot and IGN. They get the "Most credible" tag because they rate games accurately and fairly, and if you see that they have given a game a high review, that game is well worth the purchase. Most of these review sites have videos or at least more still images than the box has to give you a better idea of what you are purchasing.

The objective to this process and by doing these things is for you not only to save money but to be able to get more bang for you buck. Just make sure that before you buy a game, to do a bit of research before hand and you will see that you are not wasting your money.
